The video card series Radeon HD 4870 are considered as some of the hottest in their class; therefore, special requirements on the cooling system effectiveness are presented . AMD Partners periodically propose the optimized versions Radeon HD 4870.
Analogously MSI company, presented yesterday the video card R4870-MD1G and R4870-MD512 with a new cooler (two heat pipes ) and 90 mm fan. According to the producer, the majority of video card equipped with 80 mm fans , which rotate from 3500-3800 RP/Min and pump over 35 cu. feet of air has the sufficiently high noise level.
MSI solution is equipped with 90 mm fan, which rotate at 2800 RP/Min, pumping through up to 56 cu. feet of air with much lower noise level . Copper base and large cooling surface area reduce the video chip temperature by 20 degrees Celsius in comparison with standard Radeon HD 4870.
Furthermore, R4870-MD1G and R4870-MD512 use only qualitative electronic components in the power system . Capacitors with solid-state electrolyte, for example, have the calculated longevity of 5000 hours at the temperature of 105 degrees Celsius. According to MSI calculations, this allows to load the video card on eight hours daily for more than ten years.
Finally, the rear video card panel proposes a decent collection of ports for monitors connection: HDMI, D -Sub and DVI. The popularity of such card among overclocker will depend on the producer price policy . Related Products :
