Only yesterday we reported about the starting of removal from production of some processors intel, and today we speak about the removal from production of chipsets series i910/915 and chipset of i955X.
Once the chipset series i915x get support LGA 775, PCI express and DDR-2.. Worse there was the fact that these chipset abominably have low overclock capability.
Thus, on 9 October, 2006, started program of removal from production of the following chipsets:
- i910GL;
- i915G;
- i915P;
- i915GL;
- i915PL;
- i910GE;
- i915GV.
Their producers motherboards will be avilble to order until 30 March, 2007, last parties will be dispatched on 12 October, 2007. The only one survived from the entire family will become the chipset i915GV , which will be supplied for thethe built-in technology producers .
Incidentally Intel declared about the removal of the chipset i955X, which helped to establish numerous overclocked records. for the change has already long time ago arrived the chipset i975X which is somewhat richer in functional sense. it is time for chipset i955X to leave the computer history. Orders will possible until 13 March, 2007, last party will be dispatched on 12 October, 2007.
In other words, motherboards producers whole year can obtain the abolished chipsets.
