The rates of core quantity increase in the server segment must be higher than in desktop. If server processors nehalem-EX with eight cores can appear on the market in the first quarter following year, then the six-core processors gulftown LGA 1366 will appear in the desktop segment later. With reference to Taiwan motherboard producers, these processors will be represented in the second quarter 2010. It is remarkable, that the produced on 32 nm technologies gulftown processors will be compatible with the existing motherboards on base of  Intel x58 chipset with LGA 1366 socket. Each of six core will support the technology hyper-Threading; therefore, the number of virtual core in one system with LGA 1366 can reach twelve.  TDP Level will remain within the limits of 130 W, clock frequencies and prices are not refined. Obviously, gulftown processors will be present in the extreme edition family. Intel company was simultaneously determined with the frequencies of 45 nm processors lynnfield LGA 1156, whose announcement was planned for the third quarter present year. The initial assortment of those models will consist on three processors, working at  2.66 GHz, 2.8 GHz and 2.93 GHz  frequencies respectively. The cache volume in the third level will be equal to 8mb.,  TDP level will not exceed 95 W. With exception of models with 2.66 GHz frequency, all lynnfield processors will support the technology hyper-Threading. The new technology turbo boost will allow if necessary to overclock the most loaded core to 3.2 GHz, 3.46 GHz and 3.6 GHz respectively.
