The announcement periods of four core processor core i5 (Lynnfield) LGA 1156 was planned to the third quarter this year. The period indicated includes both July and September.
Associate with the reference to sources among motherboard producers reported that the announcement of core i5 processors were reported from July to September present year. A similar delay will allow partners and Intel clients to realize the accumulated reserves of chipset fourth series : demand on them due to the crisis proved to be below the expected level.
The announcement of this platform is planned for first half of September, the processor's core i5 can appear on sale at the end of August, and motherboards with LGA 1156 on base of Intel p55 chipset- already in the middle of August. Here are the expected lynnfield models : 2.66 GHz ($196), 2.8 GHz ($284) and 2.93 GHz ($562). Low-end model will be deprived from the support of hyper-Threading, TXT and vPro technologies . The TDP level of these models will not exceed 95 W, the chipset Intel p55 will be proposed for $40 in parties from 1000 pieces.
The dual core processors LGA 1156 with the integrated graphic core will appear in the beginning of January 2010, Intel p57, H57 and H55 chipset will be presented in the first quarter.
