Intel company presented yesterday the mobile platform CULV . In particular, Intel simultaneously presented three new mobile processor core 2 Duo with the standard energy consumption level and the technologies. My wiFi, which allow to connect different devices : printers, video cameras and television sets to the wireless networks.
Directly, the first processors new segment CULV - hyperfine light notebooks on base of processors with TDP level not more than 10 W, the dual core processor Pentium SU2700 and integrated chipset Intel GS40, which is the more economical version Intel GS45 with the graphic core GMA 4500M. The latter accelerate at the hardware level video decoding : MPEG2, WMV9, AVC, VC1 and MPEG.
CULV class notebook thickness will not exceed 25 mm, their mass will vary from 900 grams to 2,2 kg, and the cost - from $499 to $1299. From one battery charge some models can work up to seven hours. The processor Pentium SU2700 has two cores, that work at the frequency 1.3 GHz, it uses 800 MHz bus and 2mb cache in the second level. TDP Value does not exceed 10 W. The characteristics of other three presented mobile processors yesterday are given below:
- Core 2 Duo t9900 - > two core, frequency 3.06 GHz, 6 MB cache second level, 1066 MHz bus, TDP = 35 W, price $530;
- Core 2 Duo p9700 - > two core, frequency 2.8 GHz, 6 MB cache in the second level, 1066 MHz bus, TDP = 25 W, price $348;
- Core 2 Duo p8800 - > two core, frequency 2.66 GHz, 3 MB cache in second level, 1066 MHz bus, TDP = 25 W, price $241.
