ViewSonic company in the beginning of January stated about its intentions to release notebook and nettop: monoblock on base of Intel atom n270 processor (1.6 GHz). Originally it was planned, that the monoblock VPC100 with 18,5 inches screen will be put on the market during February present year. On this week, the company declared about the commercial deliveries of VPC100 computers on the recommended retail price $599.
The association of case and monitor in one thin case (thickness not more than 35 mm) according to ViewSonic, allowed decrease plastic expenditure by 50% and electric power expenditure by 45%. The Entire system consumes not more than 60 W, and it is equipped with an external power unit with 65 W power.



Screen with 18,5 inches diagonal supports the resolution 1366 X 768 and ensures the viewing angles of 160 degrees on the vertical and horizontals line, contrast 1000:1 and brightness 300 cd/sq. m. The response time is equal to 5 ms. This device is equipped with two dynamic loudspeakers 2 X 3 W and 1,3-mp Web- camera.
This computer is built on base of integrated chipset Intel 945GSE, processor atom n270 (1.6 GHz), equipped with 1 Gb DDR-2 memory and 160 Gb HDD standard size 2.5 inches with the interface serial ATA. There is 1 gigabit net adapter, four ports USB 2.0, microphone and head sets, and also adapter wi-Fi 802.11b/g.
With the overall dimensions 450 X 425 X 35 mm , the mass of VPC100 is equal to 5,32 kg. This computer works under the operating system Windows XP home. Related Products :
