We considered that the problems with 40 nm technological process will not allow AMD to present new video chips with directX 11 support earlier than October this year. Moreover, for the second-half of October is planned the announcement of operating system Windows 7; therefore, in AMD plan appeared the additional occasion to announce RV870 chip on October.
However, as reports associate first chips AMD with directX 11 support can be presented during September this year. In the desktop segment NVIDIA up to that moment will have available video chips with directX 10.1 support. It is assumed that NVIDIA will present products with support directX 11 only at the end of present year. Details about video card with directX 11 support on AMD chips can appear during August.. | ||
