The final specifications of PCI express 3.0 interface must be published in June the following year, and developers have the possibility to introduce changes and additions. As reports associate HP and AMD company came out with the initiative on the introduction of two expansions, which allow controllers to be dynamically switched between different protocols, and to also reduce loads on the central processor due to the direct memory turning .
The first expansion to PCI express 3.0 specifications consisted in the possibility of using one controller for data exchange on PCI express protocols, QuickPath, Ethernet and HyperTransport. The same service lines can be used for data transmission on different protocols to different time intervals. This allows to decrease the quantity of microcircuits and to reduce the prime cost of end product. The second expansion must allow controllers to exchange information on PCI express interface directly through the memory system around the central processor, which allow to unload the latter. If both expansions to PCI express 3.0 specifications will be accepted for introduction, in series products they can be realized to 2012-2013. Related Products :
