As reports the study of mercury research, in the second quarter the deliveries volumes of microprocessors grew by 13,8% in comparison with the first quarter present year, but in the annual expression, there were decreased by 2,9% . The mobile segment became the leader of increase. According to IDC data , in the second quarter each fourth Intel mobile processor was based on atom, and in the gain fraction indices , atom processors composed 8% of entire production . The deliveries volumes of Intel processors grew by 12%, but here AMD not only was satisfied by a modest 1,8% increase, but also yielded to its competitors a certain market share part. According to the estimations Of mercury research, Intel portion on the x86- compatible processor market in the second quarter grew from 78,2% to 80,5%. AMD Company within the same period decreased its presence on the market by from 20,9% to 18,7%. Even VIA was able to win back a part of positions lost in the year, after increasing its market share from 0,8% to 0,9%.
