On this week, we explained the Japanese company elpida and also the Taiwan company winbond are interested in the business Of qimonda on GDDR memory production. After obtaining licenses to the GDDR production from Qimonda, this Japanese company will be able to leave for the market for graphic memory. The constructed in Munich research center Of elpida will shelter about 50 qimonda engineers , working in the development of GDDR memory . The first gigabit GDDR-3 and GDDR-5 microcircuits from elpida will appear already in the first half 2010, and it will be released by winbond company . The joint creation of Japanese and German engineers will become the two-gigabit microcircuits GDDR-5, which Elpida is assembled to produce in the second-half of 2010. In the future elpida expects to propose GDDR-5 memory , which ensures the data transmission speed at the level of 8 Gbit/s. | ||
