Intel corporation released today several processors for the desktop systems and servers. In particular, it released the first processor series Intel core i5, two new processor Intel core i7 and a row of the models series Intel xeon 3400.
Earlier known under lynnfield, new processors are based on nehalem micro-architecture .
All new processors support the technology Intel turbo boost , and the models core i7 - technology Intel hyper-Threading .
The first Intel processors have the integrated graphic port PCI express 2 (16 lines) and dual-channel memory controller . The connection between chipset and processor is entrusted to the interface direct media interface (DMI). The processor support two graphic card in the configuration 2x8.
New processors became the first Intel products for (LGA) 1156 sockets. Here is their complete list:
