IEEE Association today officially ratified new 802.11n standard, the last standard for wireless equipment. The first operating times appeared even in the distant 2002; however, the mass production of devices with its support , which used the designation Draft- N, began only in 2006. In spring of 2007 were accepted the intermediate specifications : certificate draft 2.0 802.11n.

Maximum theoretical capacity of 802.11n is 300 Mbit/s, which is six times more in comparison with the previous standard IEEE 802.11g. Increase in the performance is achieved due to the system MIMO, which in practice indicated the parallel use of several receivers and transmitters for data exchange along wireless channels. Final IEEE 802.11n specifications will be published in the middle of October this year without any substantial changes in comparison with Draft 2.0 802.11n. Related Products :
