Following the capacious HDD with 2.5 inches and 640 giga-byte volume, Toshiba corporation presented one additional disk model MK5056GSY. This hard disk is also intended for notebook and compact computers, but in contrast to the previous model it has the volume 500 gigas-byte and the rotation speed 7200 rotation per minute. According to the producer, this is one of the fastest hard disks with this standard size. Writing Density per square inch reaches 395 gigabits, for this reason the rate of read/write grew by 23% in comparison with the previous model MK3254GSY. Furthermore, the noise level was lowered during positioning operations to 25 dB. In this case, the new HDD consumes up to 28% less power, which allow to preserve the service life of battery for mobile devices.  Toshiba will dispatch this new product to PC producers in this block.
