on 23 July company Intel will announces processors of family Conroe and will reduce the price for the previous generation, and also will present a little budget dual core processors Pentium D 9xx. Later it was found , that the announcement of Conroe processors will takes place on 27th July, then they will start to go on sale. The transfer in 0.065 microns of processors Pentium D 9xx and Pentium 4 6x1 stepening D0 should begin on 11th September, . Approximately during the same time there should be the processor Celeron D 360 (3.46 GHz).
So, on 23rd July, Intel will reduce the price for processors with NetBurst architecture , and also will present two new models: Pentium D 925 (3.0 GHz) and Pentium D 945 (3.4 GHz) cost $133 and $163 recpectively. As you remember, processor Pentium D 915 (2.8 GHz) has already been silently announced on 4th June .
On July, 27th processors Conroe will be announced: Core 2 Extreme X6800 (2.93 GHz), and also models of family Core 2 Duo E6xxx. Chipsets G965 and Q963 will be simultaneously announced. Chipset Q965 will be announced on September, 7th this year.
The announcement of processor Celeron D 360 (3.46 GHz) is planned for the 1st September, . It at once will be based on stepening D0 core CedarMill that should draw to it attention from overclockers. It is informed, that this processor will be the last representative of NetBurst architecture family. All the subsequent models Celeron D will be based on core Conroe-L which planned for the second quarter 2007.
At last, the announcement of dual core processor Core 2 Duo E4200 (1.6 GHz) with 2 Mb of cache and 800 MHz "FSB" is planned for the fourth quarter 2006 . Well, it is good news to Conroe supporters : reduction of cache volume will not strongly reduces performance, and to overclock processors with lower frequency and Higher bus is more pleasant because of the higher mutliplier - in this model it is equal to 8x. Apparently the cost of Core 2 Duo E4200 will lay within the limits of $100-200.
