The first acquaintance with the overclocking characteristics of processors Core 2 Extreme X6800 (2.93 GHz) stepping B2 has left double sensation: on  one hand, stepping b2 is the freshest and to wait the best results  is necessary; on the other hand, stepping B2 already  studied  could not surpass the first copies of processors B1 in overlcoking. we have today studied an additional processor core Duo E6xxx steeping b2 to clear out those issue The first processor steeping  B2 was overclocked  using water cooling, already system and   Gigabyte GA-965P-DQ6 motherboard. evreythink was at stock we had not applayed anyvolt mod, overclocking has been achieved only with  regular motherboard parametre. As you can see, frequency of the system bus has reached 501 MHz. The limited capabylity of the motherboard on increase of  bus limited the overclocking of processors Conroe, and hardly the situation will essentially change in the near future. Let's notice, that the multiplier has been increased to reash this value. If we use a liquid nitrogen cooling, it is possible to reach frequency of  5.16 GHz  using  both cores. Let's remind, that the current overclocking record is 5.5 GHz  using  one core and voltmod. The record holder still a B1 stepping cpu cooled by liquid nitrogen,super pi 1 m test was done in 9.156 s . There is many b2 steeping cpu witch showed good overclocking potentiel but the probleme  still with motherboard fsb capability   Related Products :
