After the announcement of AMD radeon HD 5800 the attention of community are now on NVIDIA answer  :  chip GT300.   We have some details about the present code name GT300. It sounds as GF100. After the release Of g92 the high end NVIDIA GPU was called GT200.  As explains associate, GT200 - this is the abbreviation, where the letter T is deciphered as Tesla, and 200, as the architecture version  (2.0). It is explained, that Tesla are not only trade mark of accelerators on base of this chip, but also the name of computational architecture, which is placed as its base. New NVIDIA chip will have the computational architecture fermi, and its code name – GF100, that can be deciphered as Fermi 1.0. Letter G, , indicates GeForce, or Graphics. In the left lower angle it is possible to note the schematic image of new TPC (Textural- processor cluster), which will become the base of  new chip architecture. Soon we will attempt to generalize information about GF100 . Also, from personal sources we succeeded in learning, that the preparation of announcement will start approximately in a month before the release of this chip . Probably, the announcement of GT300/GF100 can be expected already at the end October or the beginning of November. Related Products :
