Almost ten-year  Past already since 3dfx, Matrox and S3 Graphics left from the market for productive video card, and ATI and NVIDIA appeared. And if 3dfx past the bankruptcy procedure and was purchased BY NVIDIA, then Matrox and S3 Graphics simply left to other market sectors  , after being concentrated on multi-monitor and built in solutions respectively. And here, recently S3 Graphics presented the graphic processor chrome 5400E which has the small overall sizes (23 X 23 mm), and is intended for built in solutions. The Chip is produced on 65 nm technological process and support contemporary API  directX 10.1, OpenGL 3.1 and OpenCL 1.0. Chrome 5400E are connected by  1, 4, 8 or 16 lines PCI express. The memory controller  is 64 bits, and it supports up to 512 mb video memory DDR-2, DDR- 3 and GDDR- 5, additional 512 mb the graphic processor can borrow from the main system . Producer positions Chrome 5400E as a solution for hardware video acceleration  . The hardware decoding Of h.264, MPEG-4/2 and VC-1 allow this chip to be a good selection for compact devices with the small energy consumption. All contemporary interfaces are supported : DVI, Display port and HDMI with HDCP support. This card is supported by the operating systems Windows XP, Windows vista, Windows 7 and Linux.
