According to the preliminary data, the prepared for announcements in the following half-year 32 nm processors core i7 LGA 1366 with six core and 12 mb cache in the third level will work in the existing motherboard on base of Intel x58 chipset after simple Bios updates .
In particular, gigabyte company on this week released the motherboard GA -X58A-Ud7, which adds compatibility with the future 32 nm processors core i7 LGA 1366.

Like the updated motherboards on base of Intel p55 chipset, this gigabyte product will get the concept 333 Onboard overclock, which implies the support of two ports SATA-600 by the controller Marvell SE9128, the support of two ports USB 3.0 by the controller NEC uPD720200 and a threefold increase in the current strength, supplied to the USB ports.

Four PCI express x16 of this motherboard ensure the support of graphic card in different configurations, but overall bandwidth is divided according to x16 + x16 or x8 + x8 + x8 + x8, depending on the quantity of installed video card. The support of 3way SLI and CrossFire X are provided. GA -X58A-Ud7 will appear during January on the price of approximately $320. It will be $20 more expensive than analogous motherboard without the support of USB 3.0 and SATA-600.
