In this month AMD company gave attention to the architectural special features of bulldozer, Bobcat and Fuzion processors, but practically it did not report about their technical characteristics. There only few information about bobcat mobile processors : their energy consumption can be packed 1-2 W.. Moreover, they will be released on 40 nm technology. In ISSCC 2010 AMD will describe about its 45 nm server processors magny-Cours with 12 cores, and also about the prepared for announcements in 2011 32 nm processors. The document does not refine, about the processors architecture , but it was mentioned that the frequencies were more than 3 GHz and the  energy consumption level from 2,5 to 25 W. Both characteristics cannot  be combined in one processor - it is complicated to present a processor with more than 3 GHz frequency, which consumes not more than 25 W under load. The frequency more than 3 GHz for 32 nm processors appears accessible characteristic, since even within the  present 45 nm technical process AMD release four core processors with 3.4 GHz frequency. The question here consists in the energy consumption level of 32 nm AMD processors , which work at frequencies more than 4 GHz. Answer will appear during February. Related Products :
