The most important Japanese DRAM memory producer declared about the beginning of DDR2 SDRAM microcircuit deliveries with the density of 2 Gbit, equipped with the 32-bit interface and calculated for the exchange rate of up to 1066 Mbit/s. New products are capable of working with the stress 1,8 v and 1,5 v, in the 32-bit and 16- bit configuration.
The need for this memory is dictated by the development of everyday electronics, by an increase in the requirements for productivity and storage capacity. The developers of systems with 32-bit CPU and 2 Gbit memory are now forced to use a diagram with two memory microcircuits , which work in the configuration 2 x16 bits. The new elpida memory ensures more rational diagram with one microcircuit in the configuration regime x32. This allows not only to reduce the quantity of product component , but also to simplify topology, to decrease the amounts of printed-circuit boards, to lower energy consumption.
The support of reduced supply voltage 1,5 v enlarges the possibilities of applying new memory in mobile devices. Related Products :
