On 16 March, 2010, Intel company planned the release of 32-nm server processor xeon (Westmere), including the first since 2008 six-core models . In the list, we have 13 32-nm models series xeon 5600 for two-processor systems and three 45-nm models, which will appear on the same day.
In the heads of the list, we have six-core model xeon x5680, calculated for the clock frequency 3,33 GHz. This processor is capable to fulfill up to 12 commands thread simultaneously, and it has TDP 130 W. The volume of its cache is equal to 12 MB. In the processor are used update, characteristic of nehalem architecture , including Intel turbo boost and Hyperthreading. On six core (12 thread) and 12 MB cache will be in five more processor: Xeon x5670 (2,93 GHz, 95 W), X5660 (2,80 GHz, 95 W), X5650 (2,66 GHz, 95 W), L5640 (2,26 GHz, 60 W) and W3680 (3,33G GHz, 130 W).
In seven new server processors will be also 12 MB cache, and also on four cores: Xeon x5677 (3,46 GHz, 130 W), X5667 (3,06 GHz, 95 W), E5640 (2,66 GHz, 80 W), E5630 (2,53 GHz, 80 W), E5620 (2,40 GHz, 80 W), L5630 (2,13 GHz, 40 W), L5609 (1,86 GHz, 40 W) . All listed processors, with the exception of the latter, support the technology hyperthreading and Turbo boost.
Three additional models, as it was already said, relate to the nehalem generation . This is the four-core processor xeon e5507 (2,26 GHz, TDP 80 W, 4 MB cache), dual core E5503 (2,00 GHz, 80 W, 4 MB.) and four cores W3530 (to 8 thread , 2,80 GHz, 130 W, 8 MB.). Related Products :
