Intel this week introduced the first 10-core desktop processor in LGA 2011-3 platform. These processors, Intel also provides for the workstation market. Therefore, CPU World reports that we should expect an early announcement of Intel Xeon E5-1600 v4 processors Broadwell architecture.
Processors Xeon E5-1600 v4 are somewhat simplified version of the recently announced models Xeon E5-2600 product v4 . They carry fewer cores, and do not support dual-processor configurations. Data updates collected from open source documents: Intel's publications server specifications Fujitsu CELSIUS M740 and from the list of Product Support ASRock and ASUS. In total you can expect seven models Xeon E5-1600 v4 - E5-1603 v4, E5-1607 v4, E5-1620 v4, E5-1630 v4, E5-1650 v4, E5-1660 v4 and E5-1680 v4, the characteristics of which are summarized in table below.
Model E5-1603 v4 and E5-1607 v4 - is the youngest quad-core solutions without support Hyper-Threading. They operate at frequencies respectively, 2.8 GHz and 3.3 GHz. Each of them has 10 MB L3 cache and memory controller that supports DDR4-2133 modules.
Model E5-1620 v4 and E5-1630 v4 also have four processing cores, but support Hyper-Threading, which allows eight streams . The memory controller of these models will work with DDR4-2400. According to Intel, both models are clocked at 3.8 GHz, but the source said that the frequency of these models will be 3.5 GHz and 3.7 GHz.
Model Xeon E5-1650 v4 only 6-core processor . It contains 15 MB of L3 cache and operates at a frequency of either 3.6 GHz or 3.8 GHz (to be specified later). With eight cores on board will be the model Xeon E5-1660 v4 and E5-1680 v4. They have 20 MB of L3 cache. According to one data rate decisions will be, respectively, 3.2 GHz and 3.4 GHz. According to other sources - 3.6 GHz and 3.8 GHz.
The maximum consumption level is 140 watts. Related Products :
