NVIDIA company  reproaches Intel the creation of obstacles for obtaining a license on the release of chipset for Intel processors with built-in memory controller; from other side, NVIDIA promises, that the platform ION 2 will support atom processors following generation (Pineview), which contain not only the memory controller  , but also the integrated graphic core. Associates meet NVIDIA representatives and asked a few questions about the new generation ION platform. As they succeeded in explaining, ION 2 platform will be presented in the following block, but not on CES 2010 exhibition, which will pass in the beginning of January. Associates also explain, that the platform ION 2 will exceed the possibilities of built-in graphic core processors pineview. First , this advantage in the speed from five to ten times. The animation Of adobe flash platform ION 2 can produce as SD and HD, whereas to the processors atom is accessible only the first possibility. NVIDIA solution is also capable of reproducing video from blu-ray as 1080p , at least, if we do not use additional hardware accelerators. Finally, if Atom use only Windows 7 Starter edition, then ION 2 can use Windows 7 Home premium. Notebook on base of NVIDIA platform can ensure the battery life more than five hours. Naturally, all these advantages will cost additional money. The first generation ION will not support pineview processors  , but the second generation platform to a larger degree is similar to discrete video chip, since the memory controller and graphic core is from now transferred in the processors . 	Wish we could find out the actual release dates. Not sure if i should buy a netbook now or wait. All netbooks at the mo seem to have issues. Take the X120 a great ULV 11.6\" system but with awful Battery Life. With a ION2 and better battery that could be ace !!.
