Corsair company yesterday presented SSD series nova and Reactor.
The solid-state disk series nova use MLC memory and indilinx barefoot controllers with 64 mb buffer. They ensure the transmission speed 270 Mbyte(s)/s on reading operations and 195 Mbyte(s)/s on writing operations. SSD is equipped with SATA-300 interface. The support of TRIM command is also provided.
The model with 64 Gb volume in American retail is proposed for $200, the model with 128 Gb volume for $370.
The cheaper series reactor is equipped with a dual interface: SATA-300 is combined with USB 2.0. MLC Memory is coupled with the controller jMicron JM612 and the capacious 128 mb buffer. The SSD in this series proposes the transmission speed on reading operations of 250 Mbyte(s)/s, and 170 Mbyte(s)/s on writing operations. SSD originally supports TRIM command. The cost of the model with 60 Gb volume in American retail is equal to $185, the model with 120 Gb volume is evaluated at $350. Related Products :
