Intel company intensely develops the sector of highly productive solutions on base of  LGA 1366 and LGA 1156 processors. Some time AMD was able to successfully compete with Intel product, increasing the clock frequencies of  phenom II X4 processors, but obviously, sooner, or later it should move further. Here we deal with the processors with six physical core in the desktop segment - Phenom II X6, based on Thuban core.   On  gigabyte site in the list of supported by GA -790XT-USb3 processors already figure AMD phenom II X6. Initially, AMD will release three processors with six cores. Now we know that the models phenom II X6 1035T (95 W) and Phenom II X6 1055T (95/125 W) have the clock frequencies 2.6 and 2.8 GHz respectively.
