	What hardware do I need to overclock it? I\'ve an Intel 945 motherboard and 2GB RAM (2x1GB DDR2667 Dual channel), will it work fine? Should I OC it via BIOS or is it fine to do it thorugh software?

	it should work fine.But intel 945 can limit your overclock. It is better to overclock through the bios .

	+ I\'ve a GA945GZM-S2, and I can\'t find any multiplier settings in the BIOS. I can\'t set the voltage manually either.Can you help me? + I\'ve tried to OC via clockgen, and I thought it was fine. But I\'ve read that we shouln\'t keep the settings to start on windows startup. So we do the OC only when we need a performance boost. Why can\'t we keep the settings to start automatically?

There is no need to change the cpu multiplier . Intel processor has multiplier locked so u can't change it. but here the FSB is the Key . here is a screen shot (CPU Host Frequency) , u can try to increase it from the bios  no need to use clock gen. In addition u can set clock get to set the setting at start up no worry. check your processor temperature if it is fine then u are safe . About the cpu voltage , u have to do a voltage mod in order to increase it . Hope this help   Best regard Xtreview support

	I got a pentium4 631 in a msi 915pl neo-v motherboard, i only can overclock to 218mhz bus then it doesn\'t turn on, my motherboard is so crappy that the speedstep feature can be disbled, it always reduces you the multiplier to 12, is peace of junk

Maybe your overclock is limited due to the ram frequency . Your processor can overclock a lot higher . Furthermore, speed-step will not impact your system performance since it reduce the CPU multiplier only with low loads . A higher load (such as game) your processor will switch to the full speed . Check also your processor temp , it may throttle due to high temperature (in this case you are losing the processor performance). Best regard xtreview support
