At the annual conference with analysts , AMD company described about its future plans. In particular, the discussion dealt with the new class of processors AMD fusion accelerated processing units (APU), which are the association of central and graphic processor on one crystal.
Systems on base of APU will be put on the market in the beginning of 2011. They will be placed in the category of compact PC with the prolonged operation time from the batteries.
In addition to this AMD for the first time demonstrated its new architecture of highly productive multi-core processors x86 with the code name bulldozer and granted additional information about the plans of its release.
AMD announced also reported plan on the release of new products up to 2012:
- Krishna and Wichita: two- and 4 core 28-nm APU on base of processor core new generation bobcat with the required power less than one watt and GPU with the support Of directX 11, intended for tablet, netbook, HD-netbook and desktop PC ;
- Trinity: 32-nm APU on base of processor core new generation AMD bulldozer and GPU with directX 11 support, intended for mass and highly productive desktop PC and notebooks;
- Komodo: 32-nm central processor, which contains up to 10 core AMD bulldozer, for highly productive table PC and computers for enthusiasts;
- Terramar and Sepang: two new 32-nm processors for market for servers on base of processor core AMD bulldozer. Terramar, aimed at the mass corporate market, will contain up to 20 processor core, and Sepang, intended for the economically optimized, energy-saving products, up to 10 cores.
