We already reported information about the 22 nm processors ivy bridge which can work in the existing motherboard LGA 1155 after simple Bios update . Associates confirmed this information indirectly. Actually, in the ideal condition the processors and motherboards generations sandy bridge and Ivy bridge will possess interchangeability. In particular, as explain associates, complete specifications to the power system compatible with 22 nm processors ivy bridge, will appear not earlier than the end of current block. It is completely possible that the already released motherboards on base of chipset series cougar point and even their revision on the base of chipset stepping B3 can not calculate requirements on the compatibility with Ivy bridge.
