Associates explained that Intel company plan to release motherboard on base of chipset x79, caracterised by LGA 1366 processor socket.
This uncommon product is Intel DX79TO, this motherboard is also characterized by the absence of PCI express 3.0 support, which is a must in elder models , intended for LGA 2011 processors. Similar separation was noted on the exhibition computex 2011, since not all motherboard with LGA 2011 supported PCI express 3.0. It is assumed that the PCI express 3.0 bus all will be required for video cards and solid-state disks, but there are no such products even in the near future , and motherboards producers sometimes prefer to limit the support to PCI express 2.0. The new intel motherboards on base of chipset x79 are also deprived PS/2 ports on the rear panel. | ||
