VIA Technologies Division, VIA Labs, which has been producing USB 3.0, has announced that a model host controller 4-port VL800 and VL801 two-port received certificates of USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF). This means that these controllers models are fully compatible with all existing USB-devices (at least 10 billion units), corresponding with the specifications of speed and USB 3.0 power. Controllers are installed in an expansion slot and PCI Express support modes USB SuperSpeed (5 Gb / s), High-Speed (480 Mbit / s), Full-Speed (12 Mbit / s) and Low-Speed (1.5 Mbit / s).
