AMD is preparing a series of hybrid Llano processor with an unlocked multiplier. In the next year , AMD will release APU chips A8-3820, A6-A4-3620 and 3420, which will come to replace the first wave of Llano A8-3800, A6-A4-3600 and 3400.
There is no fundamental differences between the APU , and the updated APU will offer a slight increase in frequency. Thus, the quad model A8-3820 operates at a clock frequency 2.5 GHz @2.8 Turbo Core. The model A6-3620 2.2 GHz @2.5 Turbo Core. Finally, the youngest dual-core chip A4-3420 has a frequency of 2.8 GHz and graphic core Radeon HD 6530D. All three models have a typical TDP 65 watts.
The model A8-3800, A6-A4-3600 and 3400 will last until the second quarter 2012. Also, it is logical to expect a small decline in prices after the release of more advanced APU. The A8-3870K will be on sale in the fourth quarter this year, while A6-3670K is delayed until the first quarter next year.
