AMD can not fill the market with a sufficient number of Llano processor due to difficulties with APU production , which Globalfoundries is experiencing . The problems will not be resolved until Llano successors release, known under the code name Trinity.
Deliveries of first Trinity batches is scheduled for the first quarter next year. The APU will combine the computational core architecture Piledriver, manufactured in compliance with the 32-nm production standards by Globalfoundries; and 28-nm graphics core series AMD Radeon HD 7000 (Southern Islands), which will be released by TSMC.
Experiencing problems with the production of 45nm and 32nm products AMD, Globalfoundries will not stop the attempts to develop a successful 28-nm process technology.
