With the release of AMD Ryzen Threadripper processors, the list of desktop systems that use RAM in a four-channel organization has expanded. As colleagues note from the Japanese site AKIBA PC Hotline , they managed to locate one of the Corsair Vengeance LPX kits, which consists of eight DDR4-2933 modules, and can be used with equal success with Intel Core i9 / i7 and AMD Ryzen Threadripper .
Quite large, by the standards of packages for RAM, the box contains not only eight memory modules with low profile radiators, but also a pair of specialized coolers that are equipped with two fans for blowing out the memory.
The kit consists of eight DDR4-2933 modules with a capacity of 16 GB each. At the specified frequency, the modules operate at a voltage of 1.35 V and timings of 16-18-18-36. With a voltage of 1.2 V and timings of 15-15-15-36, the memory modules operate in DDR4-2133 mode.
While the package only mentions support for XMP 2.0 extensions, the manufacturer's website also has information on the compatibility of these modules with systems based on AMD Ryzen Threadripper processors.
The contents of the box looks approximately as indicated in the last illustration. Related Products :
