In the second quarter next year, Intel will offer consumers a new line of server processors Xeon E5-2400, built on Sandy Bridge-E architecture.
It is expected that the processor series will include nine models: two quad-core, four six-core and three eight- cores. All of them will be equipped with integrated three-channel memory controller and system bus QPI, support Hyper-Threading. All processors in this series are socket B2 (Socket 1356). A detailed list of specifications is as follows:
- Xeon E5-2403: 4 cores, 1.8 GHz, 10 MB cache, RAM modules support DDR3-1066 MHz, TDP - 80 W;
- Xeon E5-2407: 4 cores, 2.2 GHz, 10 MB cache, RAM modules support DDR3-1066 MHz, TDP - 80 W;
