Scientists made a step forward towards the bio-computer, creating a logical element of bacterium Escherichia coli with altered DNA. Researchers were able to achieve success in this area, but development experts from Imperial College (London) was as close to their work to the electronic version. They have created a logical bioelement with a modular structure that allows to combine them in complex patterns, which may in future be able to form the base of processors. Scientists shown the work of their invention, showing the ability to process digital information using modified bacteria.
