Japanese companies Hitachi, Sony Corporation, Toshiba Corporation and the state-private company Innovation Network Corporation of Japan (INCJ), today announced a business combination for displays production, small and medium-size used in smart phones and Tablet PCs. The result of collaboration will be the formation of a new company Japan Display.
Under the agreement, shares of the respective units for the production of displays, all companies will be transferred to the general portfolio Japan Display, in which participants will be able to invest in the alliance in the future. So, INCJ plans to invest in the development of joint venture 200 billion yen (2.5 billion dollars). INCJ get 70% stake in Japan Display, other members will share 30% in equal shares. The purpose of the transformation is the integration of product lines and forcing the development of new technologies. Related Products :
