Intel company plans to release the SSD Series 520, known as Cherryville.
In the series of 2.5 inches drive size will be the model 60, 120, 180, 240 and 480 GB based on 25-nanometer flash memory type MLC NAND. In writing mode, they can reach speeds of up to 520 MB / s in read mode - up to 550 MB / s (data shown for the model volume of 240 GB). Steady-write performance with random access will be 70 000 IOPS when writing. Drives will be SATA drive 6 Gb / sec.
Intel does not specify which controllers are used in the new SSD. According to some, instead of Marvell controllers , which were used in the previous series, will be applied SandForce controllers.
