MSI has brought to the exhibition CES 2012 engineering samples of motherboards based on chipset Intel Z77 Express. It presented the model premium Z77A-GD80 and its simplified version Z77A-GD65.  The power system of Z77A-GD80 model is organized by 14-phase scheme, while Z77A-GD65 model is satisfied with 9-phase circuit. MSI engineers moved the Power, Reset and OC Genie buttons in a more convenient location near the memory slots , Near the points for measuring voltages.  Both models have the same set of expansion slots: two slots PCI Express 3.0 x16 ( x8, if both slots are occupied), one slot PCI-E 2.0 x16 ( x4) and four slots PCI-E 2.0 x1. There are few port SATA 6 Gb / s and USB 3.0.  In addition, the company reported about GUS system (Graphics Upgrade System) second generation, which can connects a graphic card to the laptop through the interface Thunderbolt (essentially - PCI-E 2.0 x4), TDP level does not exceed 150 watts.
