Chipset Intel Seventh Series received an official status for nearly three weeks ago. Meanwhile, MSI in CeBIT 2012 showed a number of motherboards based on new chipsets, Pearl, which became Z77A-GD80.
During the March presentation was shown a prototype, which has gained the status of serial product just now. The product has a socket LGA 1155 and supports Intel Sandy Bridge generation and Ivy Bridge. CPU power supply provides a 22-phase voltage converter, built on base of components Military Class III concept. Four DIMM slots can accommodate memory up to 8 GB with an effective rate of up to 2666 MHz.
The motherboard has three slots PCI Express x16, two correspond to the specifications 3.0, while the third only supported second generation interface. In addition to the core slots, the product has 4-slot PCI Express x1. Drives can be connected to four ports SATA 6 Gb / s and the same number of SATA 3 Gbit / s ports.
Among the usual combination of connectors for peripherals on the rear panel we have also video output mini-DisplayPort (Thunderbolt), HDMI and D-Sub. Related Products :
