At the end of last month we learned that the server CPU 22nm Ivy Bridge-EP will be up to ten physical cores and at least 25 MB cache in the third level. As for desktop processors Ivy Bridge-E, they provide support for the chipset Intel x79.
Coolaler posted a screenshot of engineering model Ivy Bridge-EP with ten cores, 30 MB cache in the third level and default frequency 2.8 GHz. Note that the maximum value of multiplier is equal to 56x.
At 2.8 GHz benchmark :
- wPrime 2.07 (1024M) -> 158,585 seconds;
- Fritz Chess -> up to 41.78 times faster than Pentium III 1.0 GHz;
- SuperPI 1M -> 8,830 seconds;
- CPUmark'99 -> 625 points.
Desktop processors Ivy Bridge-E will have no more than eight cores. Related Products :
