We already reported that the mastery of 65 nm technical process for NVIDIA will come with video chip g78, which relates to the lower price segment. Compact core and directX 9.0c support will ensure good production volumes and acceptable profitability. Associates reported that to the middle of present year NVIDIA will release another budget video chip under code name g98, which will support directX 10 and equipped with new video processor VP3. The chip g78 has a video processor generation VP1, so that G98 will demonstrate progress immediately in two directions. It is completely possible that G98 will be released on 65 nm technical process witch NVIDIA and TSMC will master in the next weeks. Do not Let the change of number in the name from 7x to 9x confuse you. As is known, in the second-half of 2007 NVIDIA can release cheaper relatives of 65 nm video chip g90 . Most likely, video card on the base of chip g98 will appear on the market in autumn this year. | ||
