The range of Gigabyte motherboards, equipped with CPU socket Socket AM3 + was expanded with the model GA-970A-DS3 .  The motherboard meets the requirements of standard corporate Ultra Durable 4 Classic, based on chipset AMD 970 and south bridge SB950. The power system is built in a 4 +1 phase.  Four slots for memory modules allow the installation of no more than 8 GB with the effective frequency 2000 MHz.  Expansion slots are represented by three slots PCI Express x1, two slots PCI Express 2.0 x16 (one of them is associated with SB950 chip it supports 4 lines PCI Express) slots and a pair of PCI. For storage there are just six ports SATA 6 Gb / s, grouped in the lower right corner , it support RAID 5 arrays.  To connect other peripherals, you can use two ports USB 3.0 (Controller Etron EJ168) and six ports USB 2.0.  In addition, the rear panel has PS / 2 mouse and keyboard, LAN port .  The cost of GA-970A-DS3 should not exceed $ 100.
