Last week, the Munich court ruled in favor of Apple in the company's dispute with Motorola. According to the court, Motorola products violated a patent for portable electronic devices for photo management. A patent with broad wording of scary, actually concerns only one element of the application interface gallery, so it is necessary to correct violations with minimum change in the existing software. However, there was a small chance that Apple would require a ban that would include a requirement for disposal of all products Motorola, falling under its scope.
However, Apple victory do not led to such serious consequences. Motorola will continue to sell the tablets and smartphones that appear in the lawsuit.
The necessary changes to the software units are already made, so the violations revealed by the court was eliminated. Motorola believe that the court's decision will not affect the current and future sales of its products.
