To us it is already known from our past news that AMD company intends this year to present new chipsets series, many of which will propose support for processors socket AM2+ with HyperTransport 3.0 system bus and PCI express 2.0 interface .
As is known, DFI company proved to be the only producer who presented motherboard on base of chipset ATI RD600. We already know that amd company prepares for the platform socket AM2+ the high end chipset by name : RD790.
On the pages of xtremeSystems forum appeared slides from DFI road map , on which it is possible to check the company plans for the release of motherboard prior to the end of the present year.
Already in the middle of this month DFI will present motherboard on base the recently released chipset nForce 650i Ultra. In May-June will start the release of motherboard on the base of chipset Intel p35, but products with high end Intel x38 will appear not earlier than August. Already in autumn DFI will present the modification of these motherboards with support to DDR- 3, whereas the first model will be limited to DDR-2 support only .
Focus attention that DFI motherboard on base of chipset Intel x38 are equipped only with two slots PCI express x16 and with third slot PCI express x4 for physical card.
During November DFI will present motherboard on base of chipset NVIDIA MCP72, supporting PCI express 2.0, HyperTransport 3.0 and Socket AM2+. Directly this motherboard on base of chipset RD790 will be presented during September, it will relate to series lanParty.
We again can reveal on this motherboard two slots PCI express x16 and third slots PCI express x4 for physical card.
We hope that DFI will succeed in time to release all enumerated motherboards, and the level of their functional possibilities will be traditionally high as their overclocking potential. Related Products :
