DFI Company without excess noise announced the new motherboard of form factor ATX LANParty UT nF680i LT SLI-T2R, based on chipset NVIDIA nForce 680i LT SLI, including south bridge NVIDIA MCP55P.
This new motherboard support processors Intel core 2 Quad, Core 2 Extreme, Core 2 Duo, Pentium D and Pentium 4 for socket LGA775, in addition to future processor which will use 1333 MHz FSB frequency . Dfi LANParty UT nF680i LT SLI-T2R allow to install four memory modules DDR2 533/667/800 MHz with total volume up to 8 Gb, it support dual-channel regime, and technology EPP.
For the installation of two video adapters in regime SLI are accessible two PCI express x16. And one additional slot, but 8x PCI express, witch will prove useful for the installation of physical accelerator. There are Also one PCI express x4 and three PCI.
DFI UT nF680i LT SLI-T2R allow to connect up to eight Serial ATA- devices: six SATA- ports are realized with the aid of NVIDIA MCP55P (support RAID 0, 1, 0+1 and 5), and two with controller silicon image siI 3132 (RAID 0, 1, 0+1). Also it is possible to connect up to two IDE- disk.
The network possibilities of such motherboard are two gigabit Ethernet- ports (NVIDIA MCP55P, two PHY- controllers VSC8601, technology NVIDIA dualNet), and for multimedia is used the eighth channel audio realtek ALC885 and TSCAP/ATSP . Here we have two ports IEEE 1394 and 10 USB 2.0.
It is worthwhile to focus attention on the cooling system of north bridge, in which thermal tube is used, south bridge come with active cooling .
