Today On DFI site appeared information about three motherboards on chipset intel  x48, which the company plans to release soon. The first motherboard is the high end  model : DFI lanparty UT X48-T2R. The main special features are the cooling system, developed in collaboration with ThermalTake. Supported processors: Intel core 2 Quad and Intel core 2 Duo (socket LGA 775), FSB 1600/1333/1066/800 MHz; Supported technology: Intel enhanced memory 64 Technologies (EMT64T), enhanced intel speedStep technology (EIST), intel hyper-Threading technology; Chipset: Intel x48 express + intel ICH9R; Memory: 4x 240- contact module DIMM DDR2 667/800 MHz, maximum capacity 8 GB, dual-channel mode (128 bits); Expansion Slots : 2x PCI express (Gen 2) x16 (2 Way crossFire x16/x16),  PCI express x1, PCI express x4, 3x PCI; Sound system on base of codec realtek ALC885 HD audio (7.1); Network adapters: Marvell of 88E8052 and Marvell 88E8053 PCIE gigabit LAN; Disk system: ICH9R (6x SATA, with  intel matrix storage support, 3 Gbit/s, RAID 0, 1, 0+1 and 5) and JMicron JMB363 (2 UltraDMA IDE, 2 SATA, 3 Gbit/s, RAID 0 and 1); 2x PS/2, 2x IEEE 1394, 12x USB 2.0/1.1, COM, S/PDIF, IrDA; Sizes: 24,5 x 30,5 cm (ATX). The motherboard  DFI lanparty LT X48-T2R is the complete copy of the high end model, but with the simplified cooling system. Model DFI lanparty DK X48-T2RS is simpler than two others. In particular, there is no slot PCI express x1 and one  network adapters, reduced quantity of SATA ports . Simpler cooling system with two thermal tubes . Related Products :
