Intel reported the next version of recommendations to the characteristics of netbooks that can run under Windows operating system, Windows 7, Windows 8, or Tizen, based on MeeGo.
First , Intel has made concessions to the requirements of screen diagonal: Now the device can be equipped with 7 to 12.1 inches. Netbook case should be thin, and some models will lose fans in the cooling system. Also, Intel offers developers greater flexibility in the choice of form factor, allowing the use of case sliding and swivel touchscreen.
Intel believes that to attract the attention of consumers, producers must pay great attention to design and functionality of netbooks. In particular, among the standard features is support for Blu-Ray 2.0, PCsync technology and wireless transmission of video and audio.
The cost of such devices, according to the recommendations, should be in the range $ 199 to $ 399. Thus, the most advanced netbooks in 2012 will be $ 100 more expensive than the prescribed in last year's edition.
