When the question of probable Elpida bankruptcy was discussed, Japanese government announced intentions to consolidate the home producers of semiconductors :  Toshiba and Elpida.  According to recent data , Toshiba can move Elpida  assets, associated with the production of memory chips for mobile devices. Assocaite reports that Toshiba has applied for financial assistance from the government investment agency, to be able to bid for Elpida assets .  The first stage of candidates selection will be completed shortly, the second will be held in late April, and the only sponsor for Elpida will be determined in May this year.  According to the Japanese edition, Micron and Toshiba still appear the most likely contenders for the title.
