Shortly before the release of Ivy Bridge processors, which is scheduled for 29 April, Intel started cleaning in its range. First Intel removed the processor Core i3-2105 architecture Sandy Bridge.
Today Intel decided to remove the processor Core i7-960, Core i7-950, Core i7-930, based on core Bloomfield (45 nm manufacturing technology), and Core i7-880, Core i7-875K and Core i7-870S (Lynnfield, 45 nm).
Intel will also remove nine models Core i5: Core i5-750S, Core i5-655K, Core i5-680, Core i5-670, Core i5-661, Core i5-660 and Core i5-650 (Westmere, 32 nm ) and Core i5-2300 and another model Sandy Bridge generation, whose name remains unknown.
For Core i3 series and other entry-level solutions , Intel will remove Core i3-560, Core i3-550, Core i3-530 (Westmere, 32 nm), Pentium G6960, Atom 510, Atom 525, Atom 410 and Atom 425.
The program for the removal of these processors is divided into several traditional stages: within six months model will be available for order, in the next six months, Intel continues to supply solutions for OEM-channels.
