Since the announcement of a 22-nm-making as Atom Z3740, Z3740D, Z3770 and Z3770D took only seven months. The last order for processor Z3740, Z3740D, Z3770 and Z3770D can be issued before October 24, 2014, and deliveries will be discontinued after April 10, 2015. The same applies to 32-nm server processors Atom S1260, S1240 and S1220. Their life lasted for six months longer. Order for these models will also be terminated on October 24 this year, although supply will last until October 9, 2015. Still, it's server solutions, where the life cycle should last a little longer.
Recall model Atom Z3740, Z3740D, Z3770 and Z3770D relied on core stepping B1, B2 or B3. The company now delivers Intel Atom Z37x5 models core stepping C0 (still the same 22-nm architecture Silvermont), and later there will be processors stepping D0. C0 stepping improve the reliability of the embedded USB-controller and stepping D0 , the failures associated with the implementation of the sequence Power-On Reset Sequence.
Based on the new processors Intel partners are already preparing new tablets. Related Products :
